A FamilySearch Login problem does not automatically mean that your Family Tree Maker project is damaged. Login access and your locally saved genealogy project are different concerns. If you cannot sign in, focus first on identifying the account or connection issue rather than changing your family tree. Before troubleshooting, it is still wise to create a current backup of your FTM project. This protects your research, media, and other important information. Once account access is restored, carefully verify any new genealogy information before adding or changing individuals and relationships in your existing tree.
