MacBook widgets are little panels that provide useful data from various applications, right on the desktop or Notification Centre of your computer. Widgets can display the current weather, appointments, reminders, battery levels, and many other pieces of information without needing to access the full application itself. To insert widgets, control-click on any empty space of your desktop, then click Edit Widgets. Choose the available widget from the list, then simply click or drag-and-drop it on your desktop. You can adjust the size and placement of the widget as well. Widgets come ready-made with your Mac from Apple, while iPhone widgets are also compatible with some Macs.
