### What Is a Tortilla Blanket?

A tortilla blanket is a round, soft blanket designed to resemble a tortilla. Generally made from high-quality materials like fleece or Sherpa, these blankets provide not only a visually appealing design but also a super-soft feel that enhances comfort. While they often come in various sizes, the most common versions are beach towel-sized or slightly larger, allowing for ample coverage and versatility.

### The Origins of the Tortilla Blanket

While it may seem like a modern novelty, the concept behind the tortilla blanket is rooted in cultural appreciation. Tortillas are a staple in many cuisines, particularly in Mexican food culture. The blanket takes this beloved food item and transforms it into a playful household accessory, appealing to customers who cherish both comfort and humor. It’s indicative of a larger trend where everyday objects are reimagined for cozy living spaces.
